Cutting Gorgonian?

They are very easy to frag - just cut them and reef epoxy them to something. Sticking the frag in the sand or a rock alone will probably not work if the gorgonian is in the strong flow it needs.
Despite that, I do worry that you are stressing this thing out. In short time, you've bought it, split it into two seperate tanks, and now want to frag it before you've really understood the required care. At some point, this gorgonian will need stability and lots of appropriate food or it won't live.
