cutting hole in glass tank

Wondering how hard it is to cut a hole in the bottom of a glass tank, Hagen 108 tank, to put an overflow into a sump.
Thanks

I would call the manufacturer and find out if the bottom glass is tempered. If it is, you can't drill it. If it isn't tempered, take it to a glass shop, they have bits and hole saws specially made for glass. Just be sure to wash the tank out VERY well afterwards, they use anti-freeze as a cutting lubricant/coolant when they drill.

yeah man! don't do it yourself, take it to a shop that does that stuff all the time! at least if they break it then they're responsible. then they can get you a new tank!!! :D
