My newly converted saltwater only 35 gallon starting to show signs of reddish brown hair algae. I was told this maybe cyanobacteria and I need to get rid of it sooner that later. They recommended either redout (sp?) or using erythromycin to eliminate it. I did the latter and it worked fairly quickly with minimal damage to the beneficial bacteria. Any other suggestions?
