ok i have one damsel with live and in my tank and its already gone through a cycle but im getting my first live rock tommorow so should i just let it go through another cycle or should i just cure it?

if you are getting it shipped through the mail then yes you will have another cycle coming. I would if you could take the damsel back to the LFS and trade him in. Even though they are hardy fish most of the time they can still fell the effects of a cycle in the tank.
If you are getting it from an LFS and keep it wet and quickly get it in your tank then your probably not going to see much of a cycle as long as its cycle is complete at the store.

It would be best to just cure the rock in a tub, with a heater and a power head, just to be safe. I agree that now would be a good time to bring the damsel back if you do not plan to keep him. They can be very difficult to remove once the rock is in.
