cycle and algae

I am about 3 weeks into my cycle, and there is brown algae everywhere. I realize that this is normal, but is there anything to so aside from cleaning the glass every day? Water parameters are:
AMON: 1.0
NO2:0
NO3:0
Temp:80
SG:1.022
pH:8.0
I have cut the lights back to around 6 hours on the metal halides, and 8 on the vho actinics. Is this enough or shoul i cut more off? When is it safe to add cleanup crew? After cycle? Any advice is appreciated.

I'd cut them both back a couple of hours for now. Be sure you have good water circulation throughout the tank and don't add any critters until all your readings are 0.
