cycle and uncured LR

HI! ok got my 125 gallon tank how much LR and live sand should i put in there? also when i cycle my tank how many shrip should i put in there to get it going? i buying uncured live rock and adding it while i cycle when cycle is done and all levels are good to go do i need to do anything to my live rock? One more thing how many power heads do u think i need? thanks for da help

you should get about 125lbs of LR and its your decsion on if you want a deep sand bed or just a low one. i know some tanks have like 100lbs but seems a lot to me. maybe 60lbs should be fine. the cycle will cure your LR. you can get 4 maxi-jet 1200. that should be fine

In the earlier post, someone mentioned that maxi jet 900 uses less electricity and runs about the same. Dunno if that's good enough to use or not, maybe 4 of that instead of 4 of the 1200's ?? I have the 1200s myself....
