How many fish should I use to help cycle my 40g FO tank. So far, I have 2 yellow tailed damsels and a domino damsel. Would it hurt to get a small maroon clown or goby?

The three fish you have now is actually more than you need.you should wait till the cycle is compleate before you add anything else.

The damsels are enough for now. You really don't need more than two to get it cycled. Good luck!
