cycle question

My tank is on day 3 of my cycle and my pH is 8.4, alk very high, ammonia 2.0. Should I try to adjust the pH and alk? Should I do water changes? Or should I just let it go. I have 100# LR, 1 1/2" sand bed and 4 shrimp rotting in there. No protein skimmer running and no lights at this time. Any thoughts?

Don't worry about any of the parameters until the cycle is complete and you do your first waterchange.
