cycle started???

I just put my LR in my tanc 3 days ago.I put 90 pounds into a 90 gal tanc.I tested for temp,SP,PH,Amonia,and Nitrite.The temp was 78 degrees f,the SP was 1.022,the PH was 8.2,Nitrite was >1p.p.m,andn the Amonia was 0.14 p.p.m...The third day every thing was the same ecept the amonia went down to 0.07 p.p.m...Is that a bad sign ?Only 3 days and amoia went down.I have been moving the rock alot and stiring the tanc up a lil.I use the red sea test kits so maybe they just arnt that good.Any thoghts on this let me know.

Your cycle is very normal. I would not worry about it, whatsoever. Red Sea test kits are not that bad, but they are not that great either.

The best test kits are Salifert, but you will wind up spending a good amount of money on them. Don't worry about purchasing those until you get your tank running though. They are not neccessary for a cycling tank.
