cycle test results

Is this normal for a cycle so far? Cycle started April 16th , last test was as of today.
first tests:
ammo .25
trites: .05
trates: 5-25
2nd:
ammo .25
trites: .05
trates: 20-100
* 15% water change here *
two days later :
3rd
ammo .0
trites: .1
trates: 10-50

you should not have done a water change...You do a water change AFTER the cycle. I would give it a couple more weeks.

Thats what I understood from most individuals but it seems like everyone is 50/50 on it. The only reason I did one is because someone suggested it , and their reasoning made sense. The nitrates weren't going to go away on their own. Now I'd like to hear from people.
Water change during cycle :
yes or no, and why?

No water changes because you'll remove the ammonia for the bacteria to consume.
No water changes during a cycle unless your ammonia were over 1 ppm.

yeah, you can do as many water changes as you want to. What you don't want is your ammonia getting to high, which will kill all the live stuff in your sand and rock....like stated. stay under 1ppm.

Ammonia should be 0
Nitrites should be 0
Nitrates should be under 20 for a fish only.
For reef, nitrates should be as low as possible.
