Cycle

I have a cycling question. I have a 65 gallon tank with no live rock. I have 4 yellow tailed damsels. I went through my ammonia spike and had Nitrites and Nitrates. In the 6th week of my tank's cycle a did a water change since my levels of Nitrites and Nitrates were low. The next day I had a little ammonia, no Nitrites and no Nitrates. The next day I had nothing, no ammonia, no Nitrites and no Nitrates. It has been 5 days and still nothing on all my water tests. Am I done cycling?? I want to get rid of my damsels and buy a new fish but am not sure if I am done cycling since I have no trace of Nitrates. Please help...

You really shouldnt have changed the water during the cycle. If you showed trites than I doubt it was complete so you probably put the tank through another mini-cycle. If you are showing 0's across the board for five days now than yes, it appears it is done cycling. You can take the damsels back, if you can catch 'em but go slow and add only one fish for now.. Watch your water params closely. I showed no detectable nitrates after cycling my 37 for about three months. Took awhile and now they are really low if detectable at all.
