how do you know when your tank has cycled? What parameters are you looking for in your la

The main part of the cycle is done when both ammonia,and nitrite are at Zero,and have been for a couple of weeks. But in my opinion the cycle is truly not done till the tank's bio system is perfectly stable.That is,you can add a new fish or two and see absolutly no rise in ammo,or nitrite.This can take up to a year.This is also reffered to as a MATURE TANK.
