Cyclin n everythings up im in trouble

Hi i started cycling my tank n so far i just took out the cocktail shrimp ( they were in for 3 days) heres my measures
1.021
n ph is 7.8 ( im using a buffer but it just wot go up ima try a diff one)
n my amonias the highest color on the card
my nitrites the highest on the card n my nitrate is the highest on the card
i was under the asumption they would gradualy go amonia up then nitrite then nitrate not all 3 at the same time!!!
wat do i do n is this natural(i dont think so)

Presence of ammonia may be throwing off the accuracy of your other tests.
Presence of nitrites will throw off your nitrate readings also.

take the shrimp out now...the ammonia is maxed out already and keeping the shrimp in there will only prolong the process...best thing to do now is wait for a week or so...if the ammonia doesnt go down and the nitrite add some live lock for some biological filtration...I noticed that a tank with LR will cycle faster...the more rock the better...

I removed the shrimp from my cycle on the third day also, and it still progressed nicely. It really makes no difference.

The tank is in the cycling process, it is nowhere near the finish line yet. The whole cycling period should take approximately 4-6 weeks. During the cycling period, the shrimps or damsels might die, it is part of the process. When the ammonia peaks, it then turns into Nitrite then Nitrates. When ammonia is 0, Nitrite is 0, and Nitrate is about 10-20-30 then the water is about ready. You should test the water once a week. The key is BE PATIENT....
And most importantly, you should do research on this issue, there are plenty of articles on the web educates about what goes through the cycling process. You will get a lot of responses from the forums, and you will get confused. RESEARCH...

trust me if there one thing i know in saltwaterf its about cycling bc i read 4 books but this site has been invaluble. But, it is ok that i took out the shrimp? Thx all
