I just cycled a new 100 gal tank. The tank has been up for 3.5 weeks and has 5 damsels left. It had 12 to start. I was told by the store to use a product named cycle and I did. All the test come back great. When should I do the first water change?
I waited 2 weeks after the cycle to do my first water change. But you could get away with doing one now. It wouldn't hurt any. It would replace trace elements. HTH--Bob
do it now, but i dont think you need to wait 2 weeks to add a fish. after my cycle, i did a water change, and added a fish a few days later. just dont go with a big one, try to change your bioload slowly and youll be fine.
