So after what feels like forever i finally have rock and sand and water in my 220 gallon tank so i can start cycling. ive been reading on here that you should do it with cocktail shrimp. how many should i put in there to cycle my tank and do i just let em float

What is your nitrate reading?
If you have a reading of 20+ you don't need the ghost feed

Yep when I first started I added nothing, the die off from my Live Rock did the trick......... If you have a large amount of LR that has die off from transporting etc. it will do it without adding anything more........

oh ok cool. i have about 440 pounds of live rock so that might do the trick. Ill check the levels tomorrow.

400 lbs of live rock! wow...that wasnt cheap! Get a couple small fish to start things off. Clowns are real hardy if you want them in your tank.

actually it wasnt bad. i got it for 2 dollars a pound from someone who was breaking down his tank.
