new to this site but alot of good info. i have a 72 gallon bowfront with overflows/ wetdry system. my tank has been runing for about 5 weeks. i'm waiting for my ammonia to spike but the highest reading that i have had so far is .25 and the nitrites have stayed at .0. I have about 15 lbs live rock and 40 lbs of uncured rock. i also have 2 yellow chromis that are alive and 4 chromis that have died. i feed the chromis a pinchful everyday. i just want to know what else i could to jump start the ammonia to start spiking? thanks. also is this normal for the ammonia to stay so low for this long?

Have the nitrites gone down? You dont need fish to cycle a tank. If you ever cycle a tank just add raw shrimp and that will get it started for you.

How long have the fish been in and did you check the Ammonia every day? With 6 fish at one time (I'm assuming) all that fish urine should have giving you a spike.
