I am having a problem with a 40 gallon tank I set up for salt water. It just won't cycle. The LFS gave me some bad advice, some crap about the Amqiul I used locking up the ammonia and it wasn't really there, and sold me some fish. You all know what happened. This tank has been up and running since Nov. 13. Twenty lbs. of live rock, Eheim filter, ammonia never got above .50 ppm. A friend suggested I use Stress zyme. The ammonia dropped a little, and I saw some nitrites, but the ammonia level is now stable at .25ppm, and no more nitrites. Am I doing something wrong? I bought a 75 for my wife, set it up on Dec 26, and it is allready cycled.
