cycling rock in new tank. Should I change water?

I just put live rock into my tank. The ammonia and nitrites went crazy pshyco haywire out the roof!!! Am I supposed to do daily water changes to help relieve this stress on possible life on the rocks or do I just leave it until it drops?

Hi there,
If you have live critters in the live rock, than I would do a water change. You want to have a low level of amonia inside the tank. If you don't have live critters than just let it go down naturally.

Do daily water changes until the ammonia level drops. You'll save alot of hitchhikers.
