okay, my bad, what is cycling and how do you do it in very simple terms, please.

Hey there. I'm no expert by any means but this is what I know. Your saltwater tank needs benificial bacteria to handle the uneaten food and waste you fish and inverts produce. There are many ways to cycle a tank try doing a search to learn more. Your ammonia will rise to a very high level along with your nitrites and nitrates. Then they will fall to 0. Then it's ok to slowly add fish to your tank. This is a VERY brief explanation.
