Ok i can home yesterday an my anemone had crawled up the side glass in my tank and expanded completly.I went to sleep thinking this was ok but when i woke up part of my anemone had been sucked into the intake of the power head. It took me a while to get him free and it messed him up a little bit. He shrunk for a while but has expanded a little more since the incident. Do you think that he will recover or should i expect to lose my carpet anemone?

imo, carpet anenomes are not resiliant.
I would keep a very close eye on it so as not to contaminate the tank if things do not do well.
do you have a hospital tank? if so it might be a good idea to isolate it. do you know if it is atlantic/carribian or pacific?

I hope you are not looking for or expecting to hear stories of like occurrences w/ positive outcomes...at best the answer will be 50/50... possibly aided by amount of lighting & if you direct feed it or not...
if you have anemones & notice that they have traveled on the glass, it may be best to put prefilters on the PH's...should it get sucked into PH, you should turn the PH off & let it come out on it's own

My condy had the same fate and slowly perished, it did not recover from the insult. I wish yours would make it.

A while back, I posted a similar post, when my long tentacled anemone decided to get in a fight with a ph. It looked in really rough shape. I turned the ph off and then eventually had to pull him out of the screen. Well I thought he was a goner, but him came back and now is doing great. I just put him at the bottom in moderate lighting, light current, and did not feed him until he was opening up again(about 3-4 days). Good luck with yours. I've heard its 50/50 whether they survive.
