Damaged/injured Serpent Star.

I have a Serpent Star that has a large hole in the disk. Other than that it seems fine, still eating, still moving around. I was wondering if there are any treatments I can use to heal the wounds. Here is a pic. The hole is getting bigger.
Please help I dont want to lose it.

It looks like it's dying I'm sorry to say. They "melt" when they do just like what appears to be happening with yours. I really have no clue if it can be saved or not though.
What's water perameters and have you added anything recently to the tank?

How long have you had it? If less than a month, how long did you acclimate it?
My brittle actually did that a few months ago and recovered. I have no idea what caused it.

Parameters are listed in the first post. I added a Neon Goby and a Fighting Conch about 1 week ago. When they "melt" do they still eat and move around?

I've had it for about a month. I acclimated it for 3 hours. How long had you had your brittle when it did this?

I just got back from my LFS and all they said I could do is try to spot feed it and hope for the best. On the brighter side, I purchsed a new piece of LR very well cured (about 8 weeks) lots of growth and there was a very small greenish colored brittle star. It's disc is only about 1/8 of an inch wide but still pretty cool. Here is a pic of the little hitchhiker.

Yes, they still move all over even though they are dying. I had one do this awhile ago, and it did eventually die.

well it "melted" completly
but a few of the arms are still moving around, and they are trying out some of the raw shrimp I put in. Maybe I'll be able to salvage one of the arms in to another star
. Thanks for the help anyway folks.
