hey
i have a question for you all about fish and damsels. i have a domino damsel and 2 clowns (false) in my tank its just about done cycling and am waiting a few more weeks before my next fish goes in.
i want a bicolor angel in my tank verybadly and am going to have the lfs order on when the time is right.
would i be be creating a bio load if i kept the domino damsel, the 2 clowns and a bicolor angel along with a *royal gramma* the royal can be kept out if it will allow me to have the bicolor angel. help me here guys any advice would be great.

ps my damsel loves to swim around all day and dosent hide and dosent have any problem with the clowns as far as territorial issues. hes just swims around

thank you to all that helped

sorry for the lack of info i went to another site and the site said 30 is the minimum tank size.. mone is a 30 gall as well it is new just cycled.. i mean i wouldnt put him in for a while due to the fact of it not mature.. how long would you think to become mature
? and what about the roayl idea.. the damsel goes or stays and the royal and hopefully a bicolor in the far future.

Domino damsels are one of the nastiest fish around, and it gets worse as they mature. I personally would not keep one in a community tank with more peaceful fish. IME, the bicolor will do better in a larger tank. It's one of the larger dwarf angels and a 30 gallon is going to be tight. It's also not the hardiest of fish and many of them don't do well long term.
Angels fare best in mature stable systems. 6 months or more is not unreasonable. Be sure the tank has a lot of live rock for shelter and grazing.
I'd keep the clowns, add the royal gramma (great little fish) and maybe a purple firefish. It's a small tank so stock accordingly.

yeah i know but i want to keep the clowns, add a roayl grammma and the damsel dosent seem to have any problems since he was the one getting picked on by the old purple pseudo(hes gone)but if you think so.
so heres what i got
2 cloowns
royal gramma
and some kind of ANGLE (dwarf) cherub or flame or bicolor.or is there any other suggestions.?!?! :happyfish
oooh one more thing should i add the royal (imgoin to the lfs today) and leave the domino in there and see if he gets nasty?

I have a domino and 2 clowns, and a midnight black dwarf angel. they all get along great together. I got a condi anenome for the domino and a bubble tip anenome for the clowns. my domino is pretty peasefull towards all the fish and I think they are pretty cool. IMO

That will be 4 fish, who have the capacity to outgrow the tank in a relatively short period of time, all feeding at the same level.
IMO, not happy moments a year or so down the road.
