i'm new, gota new tank setup (55g, 25lbs LR). i got a 3 stripe damsel that is kickin my yellow tail dam's ass all over the tank. he won't let it go anywhere below a couple inches from the top. the Y-T dam is still eating brine but is he gonna stay stressed out and get the ich's and funk my tank up?
should i just try and take him back to the store or get him out or what?

If I were you I would remove the stripe damsel. They can be quite nasty. My yellowtail is very passive and they are nice damsels. But.....I only have one.
How new is this tank?

Welcome to the boards!
Sounds like you just set up the tank...
Do a search on this forum for "cycling".
Your best bet is to take the damsels back to the LFS. Damsels are highly territorial, catch the little monsters now... you think they are bad to each other just wait until you see them attack other fish.
You don't need a damsel to cycle your tank. A piece of cocktail shrimp or uncured live rock will do the same thing. Cycling with fish often kills the fish.
