damsel in distress

I have a damsel (can't remember what kind) that is neon light greenish/bluish. He is like the body shape of the blue/yellow tail but smaller. He has a couple of spots on his side that look pink and wormy. Could he have scratched himself on the live rock and coral or do you think this is a parasite. Either way what should I do to treat it. He is in a fish only tank.

if you post this in disease treatment center, you will get better replies.
anyway, if it's a parasite i have been recommended that you treat it with copper-based medicines.
