Dancing GFO

What's the consensus for flow through a GFO reactor? I slowly increase the flow until it just barely starts to dance on the top of one side. I also crank up the flow for a couple of seconds to "stir' the granules once every week or so. How is everyone else doing it? No dancing? Dancing all the way around? Just barely dancing on one side like me? Do you "stir" yours?
I just want to make sure that I'm getting the most out of my GFO.

I just want to make sure that I'm getting the most out of my GFO.
I try to get it to dance all the way around the top. I don't stir it up once a week, I assumed it worked best if it doesn't get stirred up.
