dark almost black "cloud" around some zoa's

I picked up a few zoa frags from a local reefer. After a few days I noticed that some of them have closed up and are getting this black cloud type stuff on them. What is this stuff and is there a way to treat it?

I've taken one of the frags out and knocked off some of the stuff but it seems to reappear. Ready to toss them and be done with the few frags. Maybe someone can help me here.

hard to get a pic...but i will try...I know some open after a while but i need to try to find out what this "stuff" is on some of them

UPDATE!!!
I figured one last chance before I trash them. I took a cup of STRAIGHT Iodine and placed the 2 frags in them completely submerged. I let them sit in there for about 3 full minutes. Killed all of the pods that were on the rock of the frag and a little starfish caught in the frag. I shook them off and placed them back in the tank. 2 days later...guess what...all of the zoas are opening up. I hear people doing a quick dip and figured I'd let them soak. The worst that could happen is...hmmm. they die...but in my mind they were already dead. Now I have no more black cloud and my zoas are fine now.

Good to hear it. I have used straight iodine on many that looked really bad and have yet to loose a one. They always turn around. Only thing I have had a problem with is that algae, if it is present will abound, macro mostly.
