how do you guys feed your anemones without your cleaner shrimp digging out the food from the anemone
. everytime i feed my anemone krill and its inside its mouth the cleaner shirmp would come along and take it out right out of his mouth. so i have to stand there for around 20 minutes using a plastic stick trying to get the shrimp away. what do you guys when they it comes to feeding your anemone and having cleaner shrimp?

thanks for you suggestion but never works. i tried it today. so i fed my fish live blood worms which the cleaner shrimp goes crazy over. they finished that so i start hand feeding my cleaner shrimps with flakes. after that i got a piece of krill and feed my anemone. around 2 minutes later my cleaner shrimp was near the anemone spying on it. so i had to stand there with a stick for about 10 minutes until the anemone was done and around 5 minutes to make sure that the cleaner shrimp dont mess with it and dig it out.
thanks again for your suggestion

Another solution is to make a "dome" to cover the anemone while it's feeding. I use one to keep phytoplankton from spreading when feeding my small clam. But the same principle would apply. I use half of an apple juice bottle. You should probably cut holes in it to keep water circulating. The shrimp won't be able to get in to steal the food!

I regularly feed my anenomes silversides, but the heads having little to no value, I feed the cleaner a head before I feed the anenomes. The cleaner goes nuts, picking it apart piece by piece for well over half an hour. He even picks apart the bones into tiny pieces. I have no idea why he does this, but it keeps him happy while the anenomes get fed.
