i have a a 15g h tank, w/ a stock hood w/ 18k marinelife bulb.
there is:
20 lbs of ls (cookie n cream colored)
9 lbs of lr
2 84gph power heads (168 gph)
1 50w heater
1 air pump
2 hob 10 gallon bio bag filters
i have been cycling for 8 days today..... 4 days ago i teted my water at my lfs and the readings came out like this:
nitrate: 20
nitrites: 0
alk: 300
ph: 7.8
am: .25
75 degrees
salinity: 1.024
today i did my water test again and got these readings:
nitrates: 20
nitrite: .5
alk: 180-300 (unclear)
ph: 7.8
am: .25
76 degrees
salinity: 1.024
so i only see a change in my nitrates, i have .5 now... so i just wanted to know if my cycle seems normal so far and is that my spike in nitrites that i have been waiting for?
