ddo i have to have MH light for clams?

im trying to buy 1 of those smaller size Derasa Clam from LPS or swf for my 15gal nano, just wondering do i have to get MH light for them? my current lighting system is 2x 24W SunPaq.
also, should i get a 24 gal nano pod with MH lightning for 450 dollar at LPS? or thats too expensive? (save the shipping trouble)

id get MH for clams. they get pretty big too but i have seen people keep clams in smaller...ive SEEN people mind you.
