Dead Cholcoate Chip??

I have 3 clown shrimps in my 10 gallon seahorse tank and as u kno clown shrimps ONLY eat seastars. When i got them the LFS only have one cholcoate Chip left so i bought it. As soon as i put it in my tank 2 of the clown shrimp got on the star and would not leave. THe problems is that when my third clown shrimp try to get near to the starfish that other one will drive it away....so i cuted one leg off and giv it to the clownshrimp. the next day (about 24 horse from now) it looks "FLATEN" is thie seastar dying or itz dead?? if im wrong can someone tell me what happen to me starfish?? well clownshrimp eat dead seastar? what does starfish look like when they r dead?? thanl you!

I have 3 of them and 2 of the clownshrimp r on that starfish. the problem is that these 2 starfish wont let the third one near the starfish. SO i cut on of the leg of from the starfish and feed it to that clownshrimp that can not get near to the starfish.

You are feeding the starfish to your shrimps, you cut one arm off to feed it to one who's getting chased away. And you are wondering if it will die? What did you expect? That the star will reproduce and take over your tank and eat your shrimps?

i do not understand the question. of course the start is going to die, your LFS shuld have told you that harliqiun shrimp can be kept in pairs but not threesomes. they are like banded coral shrimp in this manner. so you are going to lose one. I would make the LFS take it back for giving you such bad advise.
