dead clown

one of my clowns died a few days ago and i have never found his body he was a small one, will this make my ammonia go way out there? or will a water change in about a week fix it? i moved what i could but cant find his body.

Is it possible he jumped?or your clean up crew ate his body?I'm sure anything decaying will cause a spike.Could you test daily?Then just do water changes.

Water change immediatlely as a precaution then test your water. Depending on the size of your tank it may not even show up. Im guessing if you didnt find any remains your inverts made a quick meal out of it.

My wife came to me with tears one day. We bought a pair of clowns that didn't make it. It took me two days to de-program her that the hermits didn't kill your fish...
I would be more worried as to what killed your clown in the first place.
Ours was that they came for the LFS and my wife bought them before I had our quarantine tank set up.
Little buggers didn't last two days!

, but the hermits to got eat at the sushi bar.

Cleaners probably got it. Just do water change. I had a couple die and there was no problem after that.
