Dead Fish

My maroon clownfish died suddenly. I really dont know why to be honest. He had a killer appetite. My levels are as follows.
1.24 SG
0 Ammonia once I noticed fish was gone now at .25
0 nitrite Sure to go up soon
10 Nitrate
My question is what could have caused it. And 2ndly I cannot find the fish for the life of me. Can I just leave it in there dead without having a problem? I really dont want to tear apart my rock work. What should I do about the ammonia? The only other fish I have in the tank right now is a sailfin tang and it also appears to be doing great.

If you have alot of inverts they could have devoured him by now. Back to the real issue though, what happened?! Any aeresols sprayed in the room, any painting any type of fumes?
How old is the fish? No symptems before death?
Sorry for the loss.

I have about 50 hermit crabs in an 80 gallon tank... So not to many. As far as fumes being sprayed in the living room im almost positive thats a no. I only saw one weird thing about the fish that a roomate actually pointed out.. 2 days before it died there was kind of dots on him.. It honestly looked like what id think a rib cage looked like on a fish.. like the tips of bones... But he ate a ton? they were not white I know its not ich..

My clown died the same way. It was from insufficient nutrients. I had to feed him different variety of food to bring his weight back up. But he started losing weight again the following week that's when I notice he don't get to eat cause all the other fish ate everything. Couldn't put him in my other tank cause of ich in my other tank at that time. Was going to setup my QT tank and feed him there, but before I set it up, he died...
We'll have to get another one once we purchase a new 125+ gallon tank in the spring.
