dead Lionfish

Today my lionfish died!!!
I checked all the water parameters yesterday and they were all fine, the fish looked fine except its eyes were a LITTLE cloudy, Today it about half of the scales on one side look like they are missing (a big white patch) there are no other fish in the tank, The last time it ate was wednesday. Any idea????

maybe he had internal parasites or something. How big was the tank and how long was the tank set up. What type of filtration are you running. How long have you had the lion fish?

The tank is a 55 that has been setup for about 5 months I am using a tetratec pf500 and a fluval 4 plus the lion has been in the tank for about two months it was only about 4 inches long..

I am not sure what caused him to die but I am thinking some sort of internal parasite. What were you feeding him?

What are your water readings and have you used any pesticides in the room with the tank resently?

I was feeding him thawed silversides.
All the water parameters were fine the PH was a little high 8.4
and there were no pestacides used in the room or house for that matter!!!
