Dead Rock

I ordered my 28g jbj, I plan to make a diary even though im transfering my 10g to it, anyway a buddy of mine suggested I get Dead rock from my LFS, he mentioned it will turn into live rock. anyone? I'm still a bit new to sertant things, anyone know of this?

Yep, revived dead rock several times. Best way, IMHO, is to cycle the dead rock with live sand and/or a few new pieces of live rock. Adding pods, ghost shrimp and other tiny clean up crew will help too.
All that's left is to cycle the tank.

Well yeah, I am transfering my 10g into a 28g jbj nano, so thats what I planned to do, were going to buy it sunday, along with more water and salt
