Death toll

Well, the tank seems to be calming down after the cuke poiusoning, but all in all.....six corals and all fish were lost. The corals were actually lost because of folks trying to help me with it while I was working.....water change, but they dropped it .006- .007 instantly...they actually didn't even check the mix they made, but went with two cups per gallon or whatever it is. :D We had a talk, and nobody will help with the tank again.:D I really appreciated all the nice thoughts and concern in my original post about it.......this is just an update for any interested. Pretty much an empty tank at the moment.....trying to decide on the fish first, but since I really really liked my last setup, probably be the same fish. :) Thanks again all.

That sucks Sammy. I lost all of my fish in my 150 with the cuke nuke. (little pink ba@##$d). I didn't lose any corals, but didn't have help either. Sorry

Thanks guys......I thought I had this cuke IDed as one with very mild toxins.....:D It's not my first wipeout, and I don't feel as bad because I know others have gone through it......many folks keeping reefs taking any chances at all may see a wipeout. The funny thing is that I had two major wipeouts before, and both were from heat during the summer.....this summer the place has AC, and I thought I had it made.:D The tank isn't completely lost actually, mostly the fish are 100% dead, and a few corals are gone from the bad water change, but the liverock and coraline is nuts, so atleast I don't have to start over completely I guess. Thanks again guys.

A couple sea apples maybe.........
hehehehe , just kidding, I am never messing with cukes again. The best looking ones are the worst. This ones death, and following events, cost me hundreds of dollars in livestock.:(
