So I am building a refugium out of an old 10g fish tank for use with my 29g reef setup...
I bought a kit online to do this with precut pieces (all glass fittings for the tank size) now I'm just curious if you guys can point me in the right direction as far as pump placement and type.
I already have a skimmer that will fit the setup... and my real decisions are what kind of tubing to use? :notsure: (vinyl, pvc, ect.)
what kind of pump will give me the intake and return I need to make this thing function :notsure: (the instructions say 400-500 gph)?
Also what is the common placement for those pumps... I mean obviously the return pump will be in the sump drawing water in and sending it back to the display... but is it common to use a pump in the tank for the intake to the sump/fuge or is it more common to house the pump in the fuge and pump straight from the tubing that is connected to the tank?... :notsure:
All in all this looks to be a fun project... especially since I have 0 plumbing experience
