Decorator Crab

Last thursday I bought a decorator crab for a few days he was just a light brownish color. Now hes turning a a redish color and he looks like hes leaving a trail of it all over my LR. Could this be molting or something?

I know lobsters molt so this could be something similar?

I think All crabs can molt. Please correct me if I am wrong.

seems like what he is doing is that. Keep in mind those crabs stick all sorts of debri on themselves to create camoflauge. Lots of that falls off all over the tank...If he has darkened in color since you have purchased him that would mean that your water conditions are more favorable than where he came from.....
