Decorator crab

Are decorator crabs reef safe. I know they will move things and attach them to themselves, but will they eat or kill coral?

They will tear off peices of anenome and coral to attach to themselves...at least mine did... I got rid of it fairly quickly....camr in on lr

The info I've seen indicates they may not intentionally "kill" corals...but by their actions they are a raging bull in a china shop...or maybe a run away bulldozer on a elementary school yard.Personally I'd avoid them in my reef. Kewl creatures though....I just would not want to see every thing rearranged on a day to day basis.
