Deep-Sea Fish?

All right, I'm not seriously considering this, but has anyone ever tried keeping deep-sea fish? (i.e. gulper eels, vampire squid)
Just out of sheer curiousity

I dont think its even possible...can u imagine diving for those things? The immense pressure would kill you first.

But don't they catch them with subs and such?
On the other hand, wouldn't the change in pressure as they were fished up crush them or something?
I've never heard of any being kept. Monterey Bay keeps them out in the public or only for study?

The Monterey Bay Aquarium has an exibit that features alot of the animals found in the Bay Canyon. No light down that far, so they use their own lumenscents. All the fish that are on display have been kept behind closed doors for a minimum of five years before they make them public. Cool place to visit.

I have seen LF suppliers online that sell some of the deep sea species.the equipment needed for this type of keeping the cost is phanominal preasurized closed looped tanks with chillers most of these fish cant handle any light source .so to keep them is kinda a waste of money and time.unless you can charge admission lol
