what are you feeding it?
If its not opening then its not feeding, so its entirly possible its dead, but i doudt it. Flesh peels off and they quickly fall apart down to the skeleton when dead.
watch out for algea growing on it closing the polyps. And they eat ALOT. many people underestimate thier intake from the watercolumn
