Delivering water to sump

How do you calculate the quantity and size of holes needed to pre-drill tank for water flow to sump? Will have a 135 gallon tank using (2) Rio 3100 for returning water to the tank @ 6'. Currently have (2) 3/4" holes, adapted to fit 1" line to sump. Will this be able to handle the two Rio 3100's?
These are not purchased as of yet and I want to make sure they want overflow the tank.

I don't have the info on the 3100,but the 2500 is rated at about 375gph @ 6 foot. That's 750gph if you run two of them.So figure the 3100 is probably closer to 1000 gph running two of them.I think that you should go bigger than 3/4inch on those supply lines. Even though you have them adapted with one inch hose, if any part of the line is 3/4",then 3/4 inch is your max.(understand??)I would go with 1" or 1 1/4 inch bulkhead fittings. This will mean possibly redrilling the tank.Or go with a smaller, less powerfull pump. It's allways better to have more potential flow coming out of the tank, than going in.Then you will have a garenteed ballance.
