i currently have a clown and a 6line in a 12 gallon. i know that this is probably pushing the bioload, but i saw that you had 3 fish at one time in ur 12. how did u do it? and is it possible for me to put in a 3rd fish......and if so, what kind?

You would have to get a really small fish, but since you have a six-line it's not a good idea. Six-lines tend to be really territorial and i personally think it would kill the new fish. I had to get rid of my six-line because it started getting aggressive towards the fish that was smaller than him ( my little true perc).

imo, 3 fish is pushing it a little. but doable. i've never heard of sixline having trouble with clowns as long as you get them the same size & not smaller than the sixline.

it's definitely a must to keep up on water changes with that many fish.

yeah, i already change out 3 gallons of water every week (sundays). i put my little clown in about a month after the sixline, i was worried that the sixline would bully him but they seem like best buds and never had a problem. i was at my lfs yesterday and saw the 6 lines that they have and was surprised that my 6 line has grown a lot since i got him. i really like him but i will probably get rid of him over the summer....i dont want him to get uncomfotable in a 12 gallon tank. i really like him though so it'll be sad giving him back to the lfs.
