I hade the aquamedic one. I did not like it too much. Hard to adjust and maintain.
Not to mention, slow setup. Water changes and an adequate setup will prevent the need for one.
They are supposed to work and they use tablets to keep the bacteria alive to get rid of nitrates. i think dupla has 1 they go back a few years but i never used one.
