Department store sand?

I plan on getting sand from home depot and then putting 1/3 live sand from the bag over it. What kind of sand should i get and how much does it cost. If anyones knows brand names that would be great that way i can't screw up.

I dont know what you should buy from a hardware store...I bought sugar-sized carib sea argonite from my lfs. It's just normal sand. I paid $90 CANADIAN for 60 pounds of it...

the only thing I have to say is make sure you wash the hardware store sand really well or your water will be cloudy for weeks and weeks.
ps...never used it on a marine setup
