Diamond goby destroying sand bed

I got a diamond goby about a month ago. He is doing a great job on the sand bed but as of this past week he has started moving all the sand into one corner. It is piled over 5 inches high in one corner and almost got it to glass in center. I tried to rescape sand last night and he had it worse tonight. He covered up one of my mushroom corals and is burying live rock anything I can do to discourage this habit? I love these fish and their active behavior but I have never had one do this before.

Training a fish is like, well, training a fish. He'll get bored with it eventually if you keep pushing the sand back. burying live rock isn't really hurting anything, and even mushrooms, as long as not buried under a ton of sand, will dig themselves out in a few hours usually.

You could try using sum base rock and elevating your LR and shroom. If he buries the base its no biggie
