Diamond Goby - Remove Screen?

So I just added a Diamond Goby to my tank last night. I read horror stories of them jumping out so I have sealed off my canopy around all 4 sides. There is literally no way for him to get out of the tank. he can jump but will land in the water. I even made acrylic cover for my over flow so he can't get in there either. I have a 1/2" screen over my tank as well.
Now, I know he can easily jump through the screen if he wanted to, being that it is only 1/2". Maybe I should by some 1/4". But I was wondering if It would be better to keep the screen on and take the chance of him jumping through I getting stuck on the top, or remove it so that when he does jump out of the water he bounces off the canopy walls back into the water.
Anyone have the same set up? The little guy is out and about and cleaning like crazy, I just don't want him to succumb to the eventual jumping demise that 99% of all the postings about them refer too.
I have also seen a connection on forums where the tanks don't use moonlights. People who reported jumping seem to have complete darkness over the tank at night, which I currently do to. My tank is in the basement so it is pitch black at night. Others have reported that when they added moonlights there have been no jumping attempts.
I'm playing with the idea of adding a Moonlight on my controller if that is the case.

I purchased some 1/4" Screen from BRS. Should be here today. I'm hoping that will remove the worry from the back of my mind. So far the goby is still doing well and being an active cleaner.
However, he is only cleaning the out edges of the tank and the space right in front of his new burrow. I'm hoping he hits up the center of the tank soon.

I have the same setup with a screen on top to prevent my gobies from jumping. I just custom built mine, got the parts from a local hardware store. Its a good idea just to be safe. Had a two spot goby jump out about 8 months ago. Sucks to find them on the floor the next morning.

Yeah... I hope that I won't have to deal with that at all. I custom made 2 screens for the top of my tank as well. The 1/4 screen should prevent any jumpers. No way he can jump through that. So far so good. I also installed RKE-MLC (Moonlight controller) to my Reefkeeper system yesterday. I bought blue and red lights. Blues look good and I think they should help keep him from jumping.
I bought the red to simulate a dark mode for them, but so that I can still see. I'm told most aquatic life can't see red, so it appears dark to them, however if this is true for the goby, then the red doesn't do much good, and may not prevent jumping if it appears pitch black to him anyways. Not sure about that 100% though.
