diatom in LFS coral tank...

all of the LFS neer me have red/brown slime algae (diatomes?) growing throughout their tank. What are thoughts about purchasing coral from these tanks. If i do an iodine coral dip and try and suck the slime off, will it live and infect my tank? thanks for your input, i really want some things in my tank but dont want a horrid brown mess.

rad/green algae is also cyano. cyano is a resilient and extremely annoying algae. to be on the safe side I would try to get my corals from a section of the tank where they wernt touching any of the cyano. I would also not add any of the water from their tanks to my tanks but as for the iodine dips?

if its your only option, then Id take that chance but its definitely not ideal.
