diatoms or cyano

I have some film liek stuff on my sand and im pretty sure thats is diatoms because it is a light brown. is this correct of do i ahve a cyano infection???

Diatoms are brown Cyano is black and looks like oil on the sand. If blemmy sees this he has a pic of it and can post for you.
