I have a purple condy that I have had now for about four days. Every thing looked fine but today I could not find one of my clown fish upon looking closley at my anemone I noticed his mouth was brite orange and what looked like a fish eye ball was poking out. Could the condy really have eatin the clown?? If so should I take him out of the main tank? Because I cant aford to be feeding this guy 23.00 fish!! Thanks for any help or suggestions.

yes the condy anemones can and do eat fish its a risk in keeping them.
also the condy arent a typical host for clowns since they come from different oceans and love to move. if you are going reef I would trade it in or find him a new home he will take out other corals to find itself a place to settle.

thanks.. I got the clown fish a couple days before I got the anemone (wanted to give them a place to sleep) I should have done my home work instead of just asking the LFS if the clown's would like the condy, she said "yep that will work just fine"

I had a condi too. It's been my experience that they move around a lot. It would move on top of my other corals. Eventually it moved itself right into the intake of one of my powerheads. Now, no more anemone. I can't say I was really that disappointed.

I have a beautiful purple tip condi that hasn't moved in 2 months. Should I still get rid of him? Is he just a ticking time bomb?

if he gets a notchin to move anything in it path ir fair game. they also get large!! and as stated above the do catch and eat fish. carpets and other anemones can do this to. but the condy is known to be a mover.

Will they also ear inverts? I see my cleaners all around it and they don't seem to be injured or the condi shows no interest in them.

far an anemone to catch something it has to touch it tenticals and get stung. most of the time the inverts themselves dont get stung just the shell so it doesnt stun them so they can be collected but if one ahpen to fall into the anemone I dont see why it couldnt become linch aswell.
