did ick disappear?

i had a small tank set up with a neon velvet damsel. it got ick so i took him out of the tank and put him in a bowl with no thermometer or filter, just a bowl with saltwater from the tank. i only did this so i could set up a qt. well i never got around to setting up the qt and the damsel survived 2 weeks in the bowl. amazingly he stop straching himself and part of his tail fin that was missing grew back. he is now back in the tank and doing extremely well. can someone explain what happened? and i know he had ick because i had another damsel that died from it a week before

Probably the ich went into shock & died over such maltreatment!
Likely it will come back. Keep us posted.

Wow I'm surprised the fish lived through it. No water movement and no heater for two weeks. Seems kinda cruel.
